How Tottenham’s 62,000-seater stadium is transformed from Premier League to NFL revealed in incredible video

A timelapse video has captured the transformation of Tottenham Hotspur's 62,000-seat stadium from a Premier League football pitch into an NFL arena. The transition took place ahead of the NFL matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and the Washington Commanders. The soccer grass surface rolls out in three sliding sections to expose an artificial turf field underneath, tailored for American football.

Only a small number of seats require removal to fit expansive NFL dugouts, allowing nearly all 62,000 seats to be utilized. Groundstaff install neon yellow goalposts, paint the field lines, hoist flags, and apply team branding to end zones. Tottenham's venue is scheduled to host two NFL fixtures in 2026, including the Philadelphia Eagles against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
