Tim Hardaway Jr. is already making Heat fans forget about one offseason whiff.

Writer Michael Saenz argues that Tim Hardaway Jr.'s strong preseason debut is already easing Miami Heat fans' frustration over missing out on Anfernee Simons. During the first half of Miami's preseason opener against the Toronto Raptors, Hardaway Jr. scored 14 points in 11 minutes while shooting a perfect 4-for-4 from the field, including making all of his 3-point attempts.
Saenz highlights that Simons signed with the Philadelphia 76ers during free agency after being viewed as an ideal target to support Giannis Antetokounmpo. Despite initial skepticism surrounding Miami prioritizing Hardaway Jr., Saenz believes the guard showed why he fits coach Erik Spoelstra's bench unit.
