Kierkegaard K doubles up with powerful finish

Kierkegaard K secured a 1¼-length victory over High Speed Swan at Pocono, driven by Simon Allard and trained by Åke Svanstedt for Knutsson Trotting Inc. Allard guided the son of Chapter Seven from a second-over position into a strong closing finish, while favorite Sir Pinocchio settled for third place.

The win was one of five driving victories on the Monday card for Allard, who also teamed with Svanstedt to win with developing trotter Mr Penner. Other notable winners on the program included You Got It, pacing filly Lenna, and Scudo Hanover, who posted an impressive 1:51.4 clocking.
