Racing Bulls racer Liam Lawson admits he was left with a sense of regret after his duel with McLaren’s Oscar Piastri in the 2026 F1…

Racing Bulls driver Liam Lawson admitted he regrets not fighting harder against McLaren's Oscar Piastri during the Bahrain Grand Prix held at Sepang in Malaysia. The duo battled for sixth place on Lap 30, with Piastri executing an overtake at Turn 1. Lawson opted not to launch a counterattack into Turn 4 because he anticipated Piastri would pull away quickly.
However, Lawson was surprised when Piastri failed to build an immediate gap, leaving the New Zealander questioning his defensive approach. Piastri ultimately crossed the finish line in sixth position, while Lawson secured seventh place as Red Bull's Max Verstappen claimed the race victory in mixed weather conditions.
