Braden Montgomery's mother posted a message on social media calling out critics after the rookie outfielder drove in the decisive runs during Game 2 of the ALDS. Montgomery hit a go-ahead two-run double off Cleveland Guardians left-hander Erik Sabrowski in the sixth inning to lead the Chicago White Sox to victory.
The hit provided the White Sox with a 2-0 series lead heading into Game 3. Despite struggling against left-handed pitchers during the regular season, the 23-year-old switch-hitter delivered the key blow in the team's comeback win.
