The son of Chicago Bulls legend Dennis Rodman is headed to a new organization after the Long Island Nets acquired DJ Rodman in a G League trade.

The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, acquired the returning-player rights to DJ Rodman from the Greensboro Swarm in a trade announced on October 5. In exchange, Long Island traded the rights to guard Alex Schumacher and forward Jahlil White to Greensboro. Rodman, the 25-year-old son of Chicago Bulls legend Dennis Rodman, joins his fourth G League organization after previous stints with Capital City, Maine, and Greensboro.
While the trade does not place Rodman on Brooklyn's NBA roster, it gives him a new opportunity within the organization. Across 39 games with Greensboro last season, the 6-foot-6 wing averaged 7.2 points and 3.2 rebounds while shooting 46.5% from 3-point range, helping the Swarm win the 2026 G League title.
