Infielder Owen Miller has elected minor league free agency following the conclusion of the 2026 regular season with the Chicago Cubs. The 29-year-old exercised his contractual Article XX-D rights after being outrighted to Triple-A Iowa in August, ending his tenure with the organization as a free agent.
Miller signed a minor league deal with Chicago in February and made just one major league appearance as a defensive replacement. Across 113 Triple-A games for Iowa, he recorded 129 hits, seven home runs, and 61 RBIs while providing multi-position infield depth.
