Manchester City teenager Charlie Holt has completed a permanent move to Cardiff City, becoming the first player to depart following the Premier League's guilty ruling against the club for financial breaches. The 17-year-old midfielder made 12 appearances for Manchester City's Under-18s but had not made a senior appearance before deciding to leave amid the ongoing uncertainty at the Etihad.
Holt will initially join Cardiff City's Under-21 squad after impressing manager Brian Barry-Murphy during a training spell. His departure comes as Manchester City prepares an appeal against the independent commission's findings, which saw them found guilty on 114 charges relating to league spending rules.
