Liverpool have reportedly made preliminary contact with people close to Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott as they assess central midfield targets for a potential permanent transfer. Scott previously worked under manager Andoni Iraola, who appreciates his tactical suitability, pressing ability, and mobility. However, Bournemouth value the 23-year-old at £80m after previously rejecting a £64m bid from Chelsea in July.
Scott remains under contract until 2028 and has reportedly declined new deal offers from Bournemouth. Any immediate transfer moves could be complicated by a thigh injury he suffered while on England duty, which is expected to sideline him for six to eight weeks.
