The Chicago Blackhawks earned their first win of the season in the best possible way; in front of the home crowd and on Patrick Kane's special night.

The Chicago Blackhawks secured their first victory of the season with a 4-2 win against the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the United Center. The game celebrated the home return of Patrick Kane, who skated on home ice as a Blackhawk for the first time since February 2023. Chicago rallied from an early deficit with goals from Sam Rinzel, Anton Frondell, Cole Smith, and Frank Nazar.
Spencer Knight made 26 saves on 28 shots to backstop Chicago's victory. The Blackhawks suffered an injury setback as forward Teuvo Teravainen left in the third period and will not travel for their upcoming matchup against the New York Islanders.
