SAN PEDRO, Calif. — The mats are heading to sea once again as Finishers Sub-Only The post Finishers Sub-Only Returns to the High Seas for USS Iowa Event Supporting Veterans first appeared on My MMA News.

Finishers Sub-Only has partnered with the We Defy Foundation to host a Brazilian jiu-jitsu event aboard the USS Iowa in San Pedro, California, on Saturday, November 14, 2026. The submission-only grappling fight card will take place on the deck of the historic battleship to benefit combat veterans coping with military-connected disabilities.
The event will be streamed live for free on FloGrappling's YouTube channel, following a We Defy seminar scheduled for Friday, November 13. Proceeds and donations aim to support veteran athlete scholarships, continuing the Warships Series partnership that previously staged an event aboard the USS New Jersey.
