Luca Williams-Barnett sends message to De Zerbi amid Tottenham goal problem

Tottenham Hotspur teenager Luca Williams-Barnett is pushing for senior opportunities after scoring in consecutive games during the international break. The 17-year-old scored a striking goal against Norway's U19s before netting the match-winner in England's 2-1 victory over the United States on Friday. Spurs Web highlights that his strong form comes amid Tottenham's ongoing struggles to convert chances under manager Roberto De Zerbi.

De Zerbi previously called Williams-Barnett a 'big player' but noted he wants to integrate the attacker carefully. Spurs Web notes that Williams-Barnett was the only academy player included in Tottenham's official 2026-27 first-team squad photo, indicating he is increasingly viewed as a senior option.
