Man City’s most-important trio are among eight stars already flirting with the red zone with their nations as reliant on their ’main men’ as much as their clubs

Manchester City trio Ruben Dias, Erling Haaland, and Marc Guehi feature on a list of eight Premier League players who have accumulated the most playing time for club and country during the early 2026/27 campaign. Dias and Leeds United captain Ethan Ampadu lead all players with 990 minutes played each across all competitions.
Haaland has recorded 930 minutes but asked to be substituted with a limp during Norway's match against Portugal. Liverpool duo Virgil van Dijk and Dominik Szoboszlai, Brentford defender Kristoffer Ajer, and Nottingham Forest full-back Neco Williams round out the list of heavily utilized stars.
