Striker Neal Maupay has opened up about his difficult experience being frozen out by current Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi during their time together at Marseille. Speaking in an interview with RMC Sport, Maupay admitted that he suffered while being sidelined, explaining that his gear was placed in an isolated cabin and he was barred from entering the dressing room.

De Zerbi previously banished the forward from team meetings and the Champions League squad before sending him on loan to Sevilla. Despite the isolation and public criticism, Maupay stated that he holds no lingering grudges and is now focusing on the remainder of his career after turning 30.
