Jarell Quansah has earned the trust of Thomas Tuchel to play at both centre-back and right-back, where he is in competition with his ex-Liverpool team-mate Trent Alexander-Arnold

Bayer Leverkusen defender Jarell Quansah has spoken about his competition with former Liverpool teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold for a spot in Thomas Tuchel's England side. Quansah started at right-back ahead of Alexander-Arnold against Spain and Croatia before moving to central defense for the victory over the Czech Republic.
Quansah highlighted their contrasting styles, noting that he offers power while Alexander-Arnold provides elite passing range. Although adaptable across the backline, Quansah confirmed that center-back remains his preferred position as England targets a deep run in the UEFA Nations League.
