Green Bay Packers wide receiver Savion Williams returned to practice on Wednesday after spending the start of the season on injured reserve. Head coach Matt LaFleur announced Williams' return, which officially opens a 21-day practice window for the team to activate him to the 53-man roster. LaFleur noted that Green Bay may even consider activating him ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Chicago Bears.
Williams' offensive role remains uncertain due to entrenched starters Christian Watson, Matthew Golden, and Skyy Moore. The author suggests Williams is unlikely to reclaim primary kick return duties, as Moore has performed solidly on special teams. During his rookie season, Williams recorded 10 receptions for 78 yards and one touchdown, along with 11 rushing attempts.
