The Story in 60 Seconds

Everton supporters traveling to the Hill Dickinson Stadium for the Premier League fixture against Chelsea on Saturday, October 17, face significant travel disruption. Network Rail and Merseyrail are conducting essential engineering work that will shut down all train services operating between Hunts Cross and Moorfields from Sunday, October 11, until Saturday, November 7.

Replacement bus services will run along the affected route during the four-week period, though no stop will operate at Liverpool Central. The £3.5 million project will strengthen and waterproof four tunnels on the Northern Line to reduce water damage, power failures, and emergency speed restrictions on the electrified rail network.
