Kansas City Chiefs punter Matt Araiza has been named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week following the team's 30-27 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 4. Araiza placed all five of his punts inside the 20-yard line, including a crucial late-game kick downed at the one-yard line by Xavier Nwankpa and Emmett Johnson. Head coach Andy Reid praised the special teams unit as the Chiefs' best phase during the victory.
Araiza also successfully executed a fake punt during the contest. Through the first four games of the season, Araiza leads the NFL with an average of 52.3 yards per punt and holds the league's highest rate of punts downed inside the 20-yard line at 75 percent.
