Jonathan Haggerty is scheduled to defend his ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Title against former division champion Hiroki Akimoto at ONE SAMURAI 4. The bout will take place on Saturday, October 17, at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan. Haggerty expressed that his extensive championship experience and ability to perform in five-round title fights will give him a significant advantage in the matchup.

The 29-year-old British fighter previously secured bantamweight titles in both Muay Thai and kickboxing under the ONE Championship banner. Haggerty defended his kickboxing belt against Wei Rui in February 2025 and Yuki Yoza in April 2026, and he credited his continued success to relentless training and dedication ahead of the clash with Akimoto.
