New York Jets rookie David Bailey has been under the microscope the last few weeks, but he's actually been really good in one area that no one expected.

The Jet Press writer Charlie Baduini argues that pre-draft concerns regarding New York Jets rookie David Bailey's run defense have proven overblown. Despite entering the NFL with a reputation for struggling against the run at Texas Tech, the No. 2 overall draft pick has excelled as a run-stopper through the first four games of his rookie season.
According to ESPN metrics cited in the article, Bailey ranks third among edge defenders with a 36% run-stop win rate. Additionally, Pro Football Focus awarded him a 75.1 run-defense grade, ranking 13th among 108 qualified edge defenders, even as his pass-rushing production has slowed after an initial two-sack start.
