Tyson Cole of CanucksArmy evaluated the early-season performances of 16 former Vancouver Canucks players one week into the 2026-27 season following significant roster turnover under general manager Ryan Johnson. Several prominent former Canucks transitioned to new teams, including Quinn Hughes with the Minnesota Wild, Marcus Pettersson with the New York Rangers, and Nils Höglander with the Nashville Predators.
Höglander has produced three goals in three games for Nashville, while Hughes tallied four points in three contests for Minnesota. Other departures include Conor Garland playing fourth-line minutes in Columbus, Kiefer Sherwood leading the league in hits with San Jose, and Evander Kane remaining an unsigned free agent.
