Former Swiss international Blerim Dzemaili praised Aston Villa signing Manzambi as the most complete player he has seen in over 20 years. Speaking on the Blick podcast Forza!, Dzemaili lauded the 20-year-old's permanent summer transfer to Villa as the perfect step, claiming he could become one of Switzerland's greatest players of all time.

Villa signed Manzambi from SC Freiburg for £52 million following an impressive World Cup run. After overcoming an injury, the forward scored and assisted against Tottenham on his full debut before continuing his strong form on international duty.
