Former Celtics champions are understandably already big fans of Hugo Gonzalez

Former Boston Celtics champions are reportedly close admirers of second-year wing Hugo Gonzalez, according to veteran NBA reporter Steve Bulpett. Bulpett noted that multiple championship-winning former Celtics, including players who retired before the young Spaniard was born, have closely followed and appreciated his on-court vision and speed.

Writer Ben Handler highlights that expectations remain high for Gonzalez entering his sophomore season following an impressive rookie campaign. Despite competing for playing time in a crowded wing rotation alongside Paul George, the Celtics front office reportedly values Gonzalez highly after refusing to include him in offseason trade talks.
