Dallas Stars forward Joel Kiviranta will miss at least a week due to a lower-body injury, according to coach Glen Gulutzan. The 30-year-old sustained the injury while blocking a shot during Dallas' 5-0 victory against the San Jose Sharks on Monday.
Kiviranta will not travel with the team for upcoming road games against the Buffalo Sabres and Pittsburgh Penguins. The forward, who rejoined Dallas in July on a one-year free-agent contract, has recorded one goal across two appearances this season.
