Over in Russia, the Nashville Predators' 22nd overall selection in the 2024 NHL Draft, Yegor Surin, got off to a hot start when the KHL season got under way. As of late though, he's been struggling quite a bit offensively.

Nashville Predators prospect Yegor Surin is experiencing an offensive slump in the KHL with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. The 20-year-old forward, selected 22nd overall in the 2024 NHL Draft, initially opened the 2026-27 season on a four-game goal streak and tallied seven points across his first five games.
Following his rapid start, Surin went five consecutive games without recording a point after earning an assist against Traktor Chelyabinsk. Although he notched an assist against Sibir Novosibirsk to end September, he went scoreless through his first two appearances in October.
