Nils Hoglander Turning Back the Clock in Nashville

Nils Hoglander is off to an impressive start with the Nashville Predators in the 2026-27 season, showing signs of his previous peak form. After being acquired from the Vancouver Canucks over the summer, the 25-year-old winger scored a game-winning goal against the Dallas Stars and followed it with a two-goal performance against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Nashville acquired Hoglander in exchange for a 2029 third-round pick previously belonging to the Colorado Avalanche. William Espy of The Hockey News writes that the trade is looking like a major bargain, highlighting Hoglander's early resurgence after injuries and reduced production hampered his final seasons in Vancouver.
