Leinster and Ireland hooker Dan Sheehan has opened up about his approach to leadership, explaining that he prefers leading by example rather than delivering emotional dressing-room speeches. The 28-year-old stepped in as Test captain under Andy Farrell during Ireland's summer tour of Australia and New Zealand, noting that the added responsibility brings out his best performances.
Sheehan is expected to retain the Ireland captaincy for next month's Nations Championship matches while regular skipper Caelan Doris recovers from injury until the new year. Meanwhile, Sheehan is preparing for Leinster's return to the redeveloped RDS on Saturday against Cardiff.
