The San Jose Sharks have denied a TSN report claiming they were aware of rookie Macklin Celebrini’s lower-body injury during training camp. Head coach Ryan Warsofsky dismissed the claim as completely untrue, while insider Chris Johnston confirmed he misspoke regarding the camp timeline and noted there is no apparent long-term concern.
Celebrini missed practice on both Tuesday and Wednesday after being a late scratch against the Dallas Stars. Warsofsky declined to detail the exact timeline of the injury but remains day-to-day and has not been ruled out for Thursday's game against the St. Louis Blues.
