Justin Verlander has officially made his broadcasting debut following his MLB retirement, and he shared a text from his wife Kate Upton about his co-panelist David Ortiz on the first day.
Justin Verlander made his post-retirement sports analyst debut on MLB on FOX and read an on-air text message from his wife, Kate Upton. The text humorously complimented co-panelist David Ortiz on his blinged-out earpiece, drawing a playful response from the former Boston Red Sox slugger.
Verlander joined FOX analysts Kevin Burkhardt, Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, and Ortiz following his retirement after a 21-year MLB career. The three-time Cy Young Award winner concluded his playing days earlier in the 2026 season following a final stint with the Detroit Tigers.
