Jan-Aage Fjortoft's Middlesbrough memories - including the day he was unable to get into his own house because of Juninho
Former Middlesbrough forward Jan-Aage Fjortoft returned to the Riverside Stadium to take part in the club's 150th anniversary Legacy Game. Reflecting on his time on Teesside, the 59-year-old Norwegian reminisced about his playing days in the 1990s alongside Brazilian star Juninho, whom he described as the best player he ever played with.
Fjortoft recreated his famous airplane celebration during the match and also remade a photo with his son, Markus, mirroring their original portrait from his signing in March 1995. Fjortoft, who scored 13 goals in 50 appearances for Boro, also praised the leadership of long-time chairman Steve Gibson.
