New Gloucester forwards coach Brett Deacon says he has endeavoured to make the side "tougher" and "harder" aiding their successful start to the season.

Gloucester forwards coach Brett Deacon stated he is working to make the team tougher and harder after an impressive opening to their Premiership campaign. Deacon, who arrived from Leicester Tigers in April, noted that the squad needed cultural and physical changes to compete at the highest level. Gloucester currently leads the Premiership table with a maximum of 10 points after securing bonus-point victories against Exeter and Harlequins.
Deacon highlighted a return to basic fundamentals, simplicity, and intense work ethic as the foundation for the club's early form. The Cherry and Whites bolstered their roster over the summer by signing Wales internationals Jac Morgan and Dewi Lake, alongside South African World Cup winner Jean Kleyn, as they prepare to face Deacon's former club Leicester on Friday.
