Usman Khawaja briefed Australian Test captain Pat Cummins and Cricket Australia chief executive Todd Greenberg that his upcoming memoir contains a dedicated chapter covering the 2018 Sandpapergate scandal. Khawaja met with Cummins over coffee in Brisbane prior to the squad's departure for their tour of South Africa to ensure team leadership was not caught off guard.
Greenberg confirmed the heads-up to the Sydney Morning Herald and noted the 448-page book, titled Sabr: Finding My Way in Cricket and Life, is set for release on November 10, 2026, after the South Africa series concludes.
