Rising star with £17.8m release clause ‘recommended to Aston Villa’

Former Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has reportedly recommended River Plate goalkeeper Beltran to Aston Villa. According to Argentine journalist Ramiro Solveyra via El Intransigente, the 22-year-old goalkeeper could leave River Plate soon after recently switching agents. Additional reports indicate interest from Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, Manchester City, and Manchester United, with Soy Del Millo claiming Villa have already tabled an offer for a permanent move.

Beltran reportedly holds a €21 million (£17.8 million) release clause in his current contract, though River Plate has sought to raise that buyout fee to €100 million. Aston Villa currently feature Zion Suzuki as their primary goalkeeper, while backup Marco Bizot approaches the end of his contract next summer.
