Gil Vicente manager Luís Pinto has indicated that 19-year-old winger Bassco Soyer could receive first-team opportunities if he earns them. Soyer, who was linked with a loan move to Brentford during the summer, is pushing for senior club minutes after recovering from an elbow injury that disrupted his pre-season.
Although Soyer has yet to make his senior debut for Gil Vicente in Portugal, he has already earned senior international caps for Peru under manager Mano Menezes. Pinto expressed happiness with Soyer's international progress and noted the club is actively monitoring the youngster's development.
