“Not been good enough” – Alonso knows he’s under pressure to change Chelsea’s disgraceful record

Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso acknowledged that his team's defensive record has not been good enough following an ongoing run without keeping a Premier League clean sheet. Speaking to Stan Sports, Alonso stated that the team remains analytical and critical about how to improve their defending, noting that they must do better moving forward.

Talk Chelsea reports that Chelsea's streak without a league clean sheet has reached 21 matches, with Alonso in charge for five of those games. The club faces Bournemouth next, with writer Will Faulks arguing that expectations have risen following three weeks on the training pitch during the international break.
