The Detroit Pistons had a very public standoff with Jalen Duren in the offseason. Now, he is named as the player with the most to prove.

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren has been labeled by Bleacher Report's Jack Hughes as the NBA player with the most to prove this season. Duren signed a five-year, $200 million contract extension following an offseason standoff with the franchise over seeking a maximum contract. Despite earning Third-team All-NBA honors in the regular season, his postseason struggles prompted scrutiny regarding his long-term value.
During Detroit's run as the Eastern Conference's top seed, Duren averaged 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, but his output dropped to 10.2 points and 8.2 rebounds in the playoffs. Heavy reports that Duren must justify the Pistons' substantial investment and teammate Cade Cunningham's support by performing when the team returns to the postseason.
