Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton returned to action after nearly 16 months following an Achilles tear, playing in Wednesday's preseason opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Haliburton posted seven points, six assists, and two blocks across 16 minutes of play, noting that he felt a surge of adrenaline in his first game back.
The contest took place at Iowa State, Haliburton's former college, where the 26-year-old bought out both student sections for attendees. He called the atmosphere the loudest preseason game he had ever experienced as he celebrated his return to the court.
