There are several reasons why most football fans dislike international breaks - especially when they last three weeks - but chief among them is the fact they regularly leave their club's best players injured.

Arsenal suffered the heaviest toll from the three-week international break, with up to six players sustaining injury issues. Kai Havertz picked up a hamstring problem with Germany, while Piero Hincapie, Max Dowman, Ezri Konsa, Christos Tzolis, and Martin Odegaard also suffered setbacks. Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur players recorded the highest average playing time, logging 254.1 minutes per player across 38 matches.
Several other Premier League clubs were heavily disrupted by the international fixtures. Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United all saw multiple players pick up injuries or withdraw early, including Alexander Isak, Erling Haaland, and Marcus Rashford. In contrast, Fulham, Nottingham Forest, and Ipswich Town emerged without any fresh injury casualties.
