Zabit Magomedsharipov signs with RAF, faces fellow UFC vet in Abu Dhabi

Former UFC featherweight contender Zabit Magomedsharipov has signed with RAF Wrestling and is scheduled to face fellow UFC veteran Giga Chikadze. Promotional officials confirmed to MMA Fighting that the matchup will take place at RAF Abu Dhabi on November 14 at Etihad Arena. Magomedsharipov, who compiled an undefeated 6-0 record inside the octagon, has not competed in mixed martial arts since defeating Calvin Kattar in November 2019.

Chikadze enters the wrestling contest as a 13-fight UFC veteran looking to rebound after dropping his previous four bouts in the octagon. The RAF Abu Dhabi card will also feature a rematch between Jordan Burroughs and Azamat Nurykau, and is headlined by a crossover cruiserweight championship match between Colby Covington and Khamzat Chimaev.
