Scott Brown has denounced Celtic fans' tennis ball protest against Dermot Desmond and urged them to keep their protests within the football environment.
Former Celtic captain Scott Brown has criticized supporters for targeting majority shareholder Dermot Desmond in his private life during a tennis ball protest at St Andrews. Speaking on The Warm-Up podcast alongside pundits Chris Sutton and Kris Boyd, Brown insisted that fan demonstrations and grievances must remain confined strictly within the football environment.
Brown warned that lingering off-field disconnects between supporters and the board create damaging negativity that ultimately affects player performances on the pitch. While acknowledging that Celtic failed to directly replace Arne Engels and still require left-back cover, he defended the board's past stewardship and recent stadium and squad investments.
