Mileena Cotter is a junior midfielder with Syracuse, one of the top NCAA women's field lacrosse programs

Vancouver Canucks forward Paul Cotter has praised his younger sister, Mileena Cotter, calling her the standout athlete in their family. Mileena is a junior midfielder for the Syracuse University Orange women's lacrosse team and holds the U.S. national high school record with 472 career goals. Cotter, who scored four goals in his first four games after signing with Vancouver, highlighted her talent and competitive drive alongside their athletic upbringing in Canton, Michigan.
Syracuse head coach Regy Thorpe noted Mileena's high intensity, comparing her competitive nature to playing in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup. After scoring 21 goals as a freshman and 13 as a sophomore, she is anticipated to play a major two-way role in the upcoming season. Like Paul, she wears jersey No. 47, reflecting a deep athletic bond shared among the Cotter siblings.
