The Celtic Trust is seeking a formal apology from the club's board over Desmond’s "egregiously insulting" address at last year’s AGM.
The Celtic Trust is demanding a formal apology from the Celtic board over Ross Desmond's speech at the 2025 AGM. Members approved the resolution alongside two others to be submitted ahead of the 2026 Celtic PLC AGM. The supporter organisation described Desmond's address as insulting to shareholders and fans after he was invited onto the platform by then-chairman Peter Lawwell despite holding no formal club role.
The Trust is also seeking a public commitment from the board ensuring similar speaking arrangements do not happen again. Additionally, the organisation's other proposed resolutions call for Celtic PLC to publish a long-term strategic plan and to review security operations with elected supporter representatives.
