The San Diego Padres recalled left-hander Kyle Hart from the Arizona Complex League on Thursday, according to the MiLB transaction log, a bookkeeping move that arrived the day after the club’s season ended.
The San Diego Padres recalled 33-year-old left-handed pitcher Kyle Hart from the Arizona Complex League on Thursday. The administrative move arrived the day after San Diego was eliminated by the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Division Series. Hart had been optioned to the ACL on September 26 and was left off the club's postseason rosters for both the Wild Card Series and NLDS.
During the 2026 season, Hart appeared in 46 games, recording a 1-3 record with a 4.92 ERA across 64 innings pitched. Hart is under a contract that features a club option for 2027, though Thursday's procedural transaction does not clarify whether San Diego will exercise that option.
