Regis Le Bris has told Chemsdine Talbi to use Tommy Watson as his inspiration as he looks to resurrect his Sunderland career
Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris has urged winger Chemsdine Talbi to look to former teammate Tommy Watson as inspiration to revive his career on Wearside. The 21-year-old Moroccan winger saw a proposed transfer to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad collapse late last month. Despite scoring the winner in the Carabao Cup against Hull City shortly after, Talbi has started just once this season and was omitted from the club's Europa League squad.
Le Bris highlighted Watson's turnaround from being booed after agreeing to join Brighton to scoring the decisive goal in the play-off final. Talbi currently faces fierce competition from Nilson Angulo and Malick Fofana for places on the wing.
