The Tennessee Titans get bad news regarding 2026 fourth overall selection Carnell Tate ahead of the Week 5 matchup against the Texans

Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver Carnell Tate was added to the team's injury report on Thursday due to a back injury ahead of their Week 5 divisional matchup against the Houston Texans. Despite the injury designation, Tate participated in practice on a limited basis, leaving optimism that the former first-round pick will play if he suffers no further setbacks.
Tate is coming off a breakout Week 4 performance where he recorded nine catches for 145 yards in a loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Offensive coordinator Brian Daboll also praised offensive lineman Atonio Mafi, whose protection helped quarterback Cam Ward connect with Tate as the winless Titans search for their first victory.
