The Vancouver Canucks suffered a 7-2 blowout defeat against the Carolina Hurricanes in a lopsided matchup. Carolina took control early by scoring three goals in the opening ten minutes and built a commanding lead with three goals in each of the first two periods.
Vancouver goaltender Kevin Lankinen surrendered six goals on 18 shots before Leevi Merilainen took over in net for the third period. Jake DeBrusk provided both goals for the Canucks, while Logan Stankoven completed a hat trick for Carolina.
