The Winnipeg Jets hosted the undefeated Colorado Avalanche at Canada Life Centre following a two-game road trip. Despite facing 17 Colorado shots in the opening period, Jets goaltender Stuart Skinner kept the game scoreless through the first intermission.
Colorado took a 1-0 lead in the second period when Jaden Schwartz capitalized on a defensive zone turnover. Winnipeg responded quickly as Kyle Connor deflected a Neal Pionk shot to tie the game, before Cole Perfetti redirected a Dylan Samberg shot to give the Jets a 2-1 lead.
