Key Things to Know
  • The Milan Regional Administrative Court rejected all appeals against the San Siro land sale to AC Milan and Inter.
  • Five appeals filed by private citizens and local associations challenging the purchase were officially dismissed.
  • Construction on the new stadium is expected to begin next summer with a targeted completion date of 2031.
The Story in 60 Seconds

The Milan Regional Administrative Court has dismissed all five appeals against the sale of the San Siro area to AC Milan and Inter Milan. The legal decision clears a major hurdle for the two Serie A clubs, who confirmed the purchase of Stadio Meazza and the surrounding land in November 2025 to build a new venue.

According to reports, the clubs aim to unveil a stadium rendering before November, with construction expected to start in the summer of 2027. Milan and Inter hope to finish the new venue by 2031, which would allow it to host matches during Euro 2032 after the existing stadium failed UEFA inspections.
