A stingy third-down defense has helped the Bears limit their last three opponents to a combined 28 points, the fewest they’ve permitted in a three-game span since 2012.

The Chicago Bears defense has excelled through four games, driven largely by holding their last three opponents to a combined 17.2% conversion rate on third down. Chicago has surrendered only 28 total points over that three-game span against the Vikings, Eagles, and Jets, ranking second in the NFL with an overall 23.7% third-down defense.
Defensive coordinator Dennis Allen praised player execution while noting that eligible players returning from the PUP list, including Kyler Gordon, Shemar Turner, and Noah Sewell, will be gradually eased into game action rather than handling full-time workloads immediately.
