Manchester United have had a slow start to the season with just points from their opening five games

Former Napoli manager Antonio Conte stated he wants to manage a fallen giant to resurrect their past success as he plots his return to coaching. While Conte did not specifically name Manchester United, the Manchester Evening News suggests his comments directly align with the club's current situation under manager Michael Carrick.
Manchester United have collected only five points from their opening five Premier League fixtures and exited the Carabao Cup to Brighton. Although the club reportedly maintains support for Carrick, Conte also confirmed his interest in managing in England again following previous spells at Chelsea and Tottenham.
